Former Auburn OC Eric Kiesau joining SEC East team as analyst, per report

Former Auburn OC Eric Kiesau reportedly has a new gig with an SEC team. Kiesau is joining Billy Napier’s Florida staff as an analyst, according to On 3.

Kiesau and Napier were both on staff at Alabama in 2015. Napier was the Crimson Tide’s wide receivers coach at the time, while Kiesau was an offensive analyst for UA.

After his season at Alabama, Kiesau headed west. In 2016, Kiesau joined the Fresno State coaching staff as offensive coordinator and served as interim head coach in the final 4 games. He then landed at Boise State as the Broncos’ wide receivers coach in 2017.

After 4 seasons at Boise State, Kiesau followed head coach Bryan Harsin to Auburn. Kiesau was originally an analyst for Auburn before being promoted to wide receivers coach during the 2021 season. In 2022, Kiesau was named offensive coordinator after Austin Davis did not work out. Kiesau was fired by Auburn, along with Harsin and other Tigers staffers, on Oct. 31, 2022.

  • Hired by Fresno, interim coach for 4 games, fired and sent to Boise...it gets better,lol... was fired by Auburn, along with Harsin...

Popcorn extra butter, cold beer...where’s the entertainment, anyone seen g8rLakelife???

    • Kiesau is an expert in what doesn’t work, and he will help Napier know each week what NOT to do as he makes his deranged and laughable analysis known.

      • While I truly hope that Monken hangs around for this upcoming season as my Dawgs try to make history as the first ever 3-peat, we humper fans have all come to the conclusion that it is “when” Todd leaves, not “if”. And for what it might be worth, most knowledgeable pups fans, myself included, are comfortable in knowing the successor to Monken is already on staff and has been taking notes the past two years...plus he, like Kirby and Muschy, is a former Dawg with loyalty to his alma mater...

    • Last I heard ugagatorunderthelakewithnolife was going to get a lobotomy just like yours. A DIY project so he is busy

    • Don’t worry Leghumper, if Monken leaves for the NFL, Kiesau has already agreed to become Georgia’s OC. ;)

        • I have always figured Monken to be in line for a P-5 head coaching job, so maybe the NFL is another notch in that process. Hope he stays in the SEC, maybe A&M if Jimbo steps on it again, or Mizzou when they get serious.

        • I don’t think Monken wants the rigors of college ball, much easier to just coach and play call without the grueling recruiting work. I believe he wants to OC and hopefully get promoted up to NFL HBC in time. Lot easier to draft players vs recruit...

        • aTm still celebrates Wayward Johnny as it’s Heisman winning QBs, and I will still celebrate SB4’s back to back natties no matter how far down the Johnny M rabbit hole he falls, as long as he never reaches Aaron Hernandez depths...

        • Thanks for keeping me straight, Mr. Hernandez. Has Akhil gone to trial yet, or have you already hung the rat bahstahd?

  • The attraction of Mertzatron is so strong that those that have failed in the plains come looking for redemption.
Mertzatron calls all the tired, the poor, the huddled masses yearning to win
