Justice Hill takes leave of absence from LSU program

Justice Hill has started 16 games for LSU so far this basketball season. He was not available in Wednesday’s loss to Auburn, and Matt McMahon addressed Hill’s absence moving forward.

According to McMahon, Hill is stepping away from the Tigers program for the time being. The decision is for personal reasons and not for any disciplinary issues, per McMahon. There is currently no timetable for a return for Hill.

Hill has been an important piece for LSU this season with 16 starts and is third on the team while averaging 26.6 minutes per game. He also leads the Tigers with 3.5 assists per game and has averaged 6.9 points, 2 rebounds and 1.2 steals while shooting 30% from the field.

Hill is currently in his first season at LSU after beginning his career at Murray State. We will see if Hill is able to get back onto the court for the Tigers this season.

  • Hill actually started his career as a 2 sport athlete at Arkansas. He bailed on Chad Morris early (good call kid) and left the basketball program when Mike Anderson was let go. I’m glad justice has finally found his place

  • Best wishes for a swift and smooth return for the former Arkansan Justice Hill, who seems to be a good kid from a good family,

  • I hope all is well with his family. His dad, Dr. Fitz Hill, is a fantastic man. I wish things had worked out for Justice at Arkansas, but it's impossible for an Arkansas fan not to root for him.
