LSU has seen several linemen enter the NCAA transfer portal this offseason, and now we can add another name to that list.
On Wednesday, it was reported by multiple outlets that backup guard Kardell Thomas was going to explore his options in the portal.
Per reports, Thomas will have 2 years of eligibility remaining at his new school. He’s the fourth LSU backup offensive lineman to enter the portal already this offseason:
Thomas was a 4-star recruit in the class of 2019. He is a native of Baton Rouge who stayed home to play for LSU.
Thomas redshirted in 2019. He played in 1 game in 2020, 6 games in 2021 (with 2 starts) and 4 games in 2022. Where he ends up next remains to be seen.

Good luck Big Dog, I was hoping you would get it together while at LSU. I know you love LSU and understand you transferring, looking for playing time. You now have that LSU Degree, Geaux Tigers!
We had high hopes for him at first, but it didn't work out. Good luck to him.
Best of luck to him unless he plays against LSU. He just never could quite get it together and break through. He probably saw he was about to drop further down the depth chart.
