Vaibhavi, Traps are the best way to get rid of mice once they are inside your home. Try to catch them all now before they start breeding, otherwise you will be dealing with them all winter. Repackage all your pantry items such as flour, sugar, pasta, rice, dried beans, etc. into glass jars. Canned goods will be ok, just wash well before using.

We put trapper outside of pantry but I don’t know if I can sleep all night knowing there is mice in the house. I will buy peppermint oil and spray see if that helps. But any suggestions how else I can get rid of mice quickly from pantry? I wonder if there are more in the house. I have already put trap all over the house and I have no idea how did this little crecher got in the house, I am so freaked out.

JB, Glass containers are the best for keeping your food safe from mice.

1 mouse in the basement quickly turned into several mice who are now invading my kitchen and I can’t catch the little buggers. I’m going to buy some peppermint oil now and maybe even put some small, potted mint plants in the kitchen.

We have a cabin in the mountains that we only go to a few times a month. We have found the best solution for catching mice is to put peanut butter mixed with bait inside paper bowl and then putting it into a big bucket with a ramp or piece of wood going up to the bucket. We also spray the inside of the bucket was cooking oil so that the mouse cannot climb out. I know it is cruel to have to use the bait and kill them, But it seems to be the best solution so far.
