Tennessee set to hire former UConn staffer as Director of Football Operations, per report

Tennessee football is hiring former UConn staffer Andrew Goodman as its new Director of Football Operations, according to Matt Zenitz of On3 Sports.

The former Penn State wide receiver and Brown University Director of Football Operations, will replace Andrew Warsaw, who left for the associate athletic and football chief of staff job at USF.

Goodman also served as the recruiting coordinator for Penn State after his playing days in Happy Valley. He will oversee the operations of a football program that is at a height it hasn’t been at in a long time, with Tennessee having won 11 games last season.

The Vols only played 1 bad game in 2022 against South Carolina, but were well within the hunt for the College Football Playoff all season until the penultimate game against the Gamecocks.

This news comes after both Josh Heupel and Danny White received new contracts and pay raises.

  • Hopefully he is a good hire and will continue the upward trend of UT football. I think it is great to have former players in the hierarchy. They bring the actual experience needed to relate and understand the players point of view.

  • Anybody see the Vols vs pups bball game? That was a beat down pups pushed down court after Tn quit to only get beat by 29. Not 14. Smokey had Uga by the neck shaking him

  • It's only going to get better at Tennessee. The Vols have the best AD not only in the SEC but probably in the entire country. The athletic program at Tennessee is rocketing.

    • Dawg2021

I’ve been alive long enough to have watched UGA suck and win nothing.
It’s Georgia’s time to shine. No doubt.

Everything changes and nothing stays the same
