8-5forever

I am happy about unranked with no hope. As we line up for Sec play, the lack of respect could cause trouble. Lsu was not given respect and they ripped through the West except for A&M game.
It had to happen with 7 losses and no bowl otherwise, Jimbo doesn't change. My thought on the hire is how easily the OC can be overruled. K Briles or G. Riley would have been overruled. Petrino won't be, but he better get this offense rolling.
It just shows Texas just signed the end of a National hopes forever. The SEC is going to beat up each other so the Pac and Big 12 will get plenty of teams in the new 12.
I don't think 1 year is an issue anymore. You are seeing all over college football in 2022 that 4 and 5 wins teams 2021 are racking up turn arounds to 9-10 and in Tcu case 13 wins. It isn't out of the realm that we see A&M compete for the West. The talent is there.
Aggie class of 90 here. I am losing interest in Aggie football. I didn't like the Jimbo hire and don't like this one either. MEH! It pro ably makes us better and maybe in the 12 team playoff but we aren't ever going to be great with Jimbo and now Petrino.
Texas was a 8-5 team. So what. The SEC got to play Tennessee, Bama, LSU, and Georgia. Put those 4 on your schedule and see if you make the playoffs.
Welcome to the SEC stupid coaches contract. We may be stuck with Jimbo. You are stuck with a guy that won't punt. Interesting how many Ole Miss players laying all over the field. It was fun to watch CompLAne train get wrecked by tech.
Lane's big mouth is going to catch up to him. Ole miss is going to see a 5-7 team soon and be wondering why they gave him all that $$
We know exactly how we got the class. $$$$$. A&M is in a nice position. Will be overlooked by everyone and especially the media. I give you the Lsu game. The schedule sets up with Miami, Arkansas and Auburn and 2 cream puffs as the first 5. Those are all winnable games with a middle of the road team. After Bama and Tenn, it's all teams that are competitive but and in even in talent with all over dismisses.
The one thing I have learned about the SEC since we have been in it is, year to year. There are 2 constants at the top (Bama and Ga) and 2 at the bottom( Vandy amd Mizzou). The other 10 teams all take turns of 1-2 years of touching towards the top and falling back and bouncing again. In the west- Auburn & A&M will rebound. Lane Kiffen and LSU will pull back. LSU usually has more staying power than the rest of us though. We will see how it will work when Texas and OU change the schedules. Will it be in 2023 or 2024, who knows but so far the trend has been that none of the 10 will compete for more than 2 years towards the top of a division.
I bet you were sitting on the edge of your seat when a 5-7 team was sitting on the 2 yard line with a chance to beat Bama. 1 PLAY. Don't forget almost losing to Sark too. Your 10-2 is 8-4 if the ball bounces the other way.
I think you forget something. The game has changed. If a player can go to Bama and not get paid or go somewhere else, then they are going somewhere else and getting paid. Hence , Bama is paying too!
If you don't think Saban was very strategic with that last year then you are looking through some strange glasses. He not only neutralized A&M and Jimbo but came out looking like the good guy. Bama is paying top dollars for their players. Georgia is too. Texas is putting up even more than all of us so azamugg please take off your all caps!
This is a weird one. I thought he would be an SEC caliber player. Good luck in the ACC.
Denver Harris had issues last season. Maybe he got all of that out of his system before going to LSU now.
Currently they are, but that doesn't mean much. There are far more alum and growing of Aggies. If A&M could get the wins, the 2 schools in Texas will begin to have the best rosters if/when Saban's domination is over. I wish they would fall this next season as now 10-2 trajectory is their expectation.
It happens at every school. It's a non-event. Bama is right behind Texas Longhorns in payment per player. Texas is the one you really need to worry about. Currently they are paying their players 282K average player salary. They are about to step into the SEC with the biggest payroll, Arch Manning and Sark. I think we all see the writing on the wall.
We won't hear a word about how unfair it is now. That's all we heard last year with A&M's big haul. I am so happy everyone is throwing A&M out with the bath water. We will still be a very talented team , it's whether we can produce it on the field next year. Everyone wants to see Bama fail but it is a well oiled machine. They are still going to be the team to beat with Georgia next year.
He is good. If he grows up , you have a great player. He could be a lockdown corner.
Jimbo doesn't want to change his style, just the play calling. The style will still be predictable and a non-OC is a stooge that can't make wholesale changes. I see Jimbo's plan. I am not sure I like it but we have to give it a shot and see if it works.
Although the moral issues are overlooked in college footbal, I am not a fan.
Felony is going to make it tough to get on at any power 5 school.
Texas A&M won't let him come back. This should be reported too. Probably the same with PJ Williams and Smoke Bouie. Most top teams should have a hard pass but someone will pick them up and hope foe the best.
Adding Texas and OU eliminates us from SEC getting 4 in. They will be good enough for many teams to have too many losses. It's really just math. The B1G will make a big move and they are going to make room for group of 5. The Big 12 could eat into our spots as it will be likely for them to have 12-0 11-1 and 10-2 teams with their new conference.
