I'll predict that Petrino will get the offense going well enough to win 9-10 games next season. At Miami early, Bama at home, then TN on the road look tough. LSU at the end. Tough schedule for anyone. Would love to see TCU, Michigan, Ohio State, or anyone else play that schedule.
Great hire! Instant offense from first game. This did just make it harder for Arkansas to beat A and M.
Grades are way to high! You do not go 6-6 with those grades. O line D D line D Secondary D- Receivers C- Linebackers A- Specialist C- Running Backs B QB C *This is how you go 6-6.
Bama is 10-2. 2 loses by a total of 4 points and the end of each lose. Put them is the Big 10 and they are 12-0 and in the playoffs. Put them in the Big 12 and they are 12-0 and in the playoffs. Michigan and Ohio State got free rides by playing a generally weak schedule. How is it TCU did not drop even one place after a loss?? Michigan and Ohio State should be playing each other. I did not find the committee's actions credible this year. Ohio State was blown out at home. When the 12 team playoff starts the pretenders will be out quick.
TCU is not one of the best four. How can they lose and not drop one spot?? I could see a bigger argument made by Utah and Bama for a spot. 2 Big 10 teams in is a joke.
How does TCU lose and not drop one spot?? Has anyone in the past playoff rankings this year done this?
Top 10 teams? From the Big 10? That’s the problem they play no one. Over ranked all year long. Utah should be in ahead of Ohio State.
Michigan continues with the weakest schedule. TCU is not a serious threat. Ohio State should not be in. Bama would beat all but Georgia. So the third strongest conference is the country gets 2 teams in because they play weak schedules. While the strongest conference gets one. Thankfully the 12 team playoff will fix this junk.
Georgia will win second national championship in a row. Bama should get in before Ohio State does.
TCU will come from behind and win a close one again!
I would have liked to see no byes and no automatics. Having a week off is a huge advantage to the teams not having to play at that time of the year.
Michigan played a weak schedule. 3 or 4 SEC teams would be 12-0 playing their schedule. That should matter.
Zero comparison between the SEC and Big 10. Weekly competition is much more difficult in the SEC.
Bama does have 2 loses by a total of 4 points. Losing at the end of each game in the toughest by far conference in America. Bama would beat everyone in the top 4 except Georgia.
The Georgia D will win the Dawgs another National Championship!
Wrong. The selection committee does take into consideration players that are out. TN would not likely beat Bama again if they played this weekend. I would have Bama ahead of Ohio State also.
Michigan coasted in playing a weak schedule. The Big 10 is weak. Michigan plays mighty Purdue while the other three play tough games. Bama would beat Michigan, Ohio State, TCU, and USC. Probably would not beat Georgia. TN with Hooker at QB would beat those teams too. I'm not sure the committee really picks the best teams. Being 12-0 does not automatically make you the best team. I would put much more weight into a team's strength of schedule. The new 12 team playoff will fix this problem. Teams that have actually played tough schedules will advance in the playoffs. Pretenders like Michigan will not.
