The Tennessee Volunteers have been recruiting well under Jeremy Pruitt, and on Sunday, they picked up a huge piece for their 2021 class.

And, to make matters even better, they beat out a trio of SEC West schools — Alabama, Auburn and LSU — to land the services of the 5-star defensive end.

As you can see below, Dylan Brooks, a 6-5, 220-pound defensive end out of Alabama, announced via Twitter that he was committing to the Vols:

Per the 247Sports composite rankings, Brooks is the No. 1 weak-side defensive end in the class of 2021 and the No. 1 overall recruit from the state of Alabama.

The Vols now have 11 players in their 2021 recruiting class, which currently ranks No. 17 in the nation and No. 3 in the SEC, per 247Sports.
