Alabama stars announce plans to enter NFL Draft, Nick Saban says other decisions are pending
Alabama stars Will Anderson Jr., Bryce Young and Jahmyr Gibbs announced plans to enter the NFL Draft, as Nick Saban applauded their decisions and added that more are pending.
These announcements were long expected as Anderson and Young are widely expected to be drafted in the top 5 of the spring NFL Draft, and Gibbs is one of the top running backs in college football. Young’s and Anderson’s parents both attended the announcement. The other players possibly in the mix to depart for the NFL are draft-eligible juniors Brian Branch and Eli Ricks.
“All three of these guys have, sort of, top-round grades, so we’re excited about their opportunities and their future that they might have at the next level,” Saban said.
Young threw for 3,328 yards, 32 touchdowns and 5 interceptions while he completed 64.5% of his passes (245-of-380) in 10.5 games. He missed a game and a half following a shoulder injury suffered against Arkansas.
Gibbs, a transfer from Georgia Tech, started 11 of the 12 games and was the Crimson Tide’s leading rusher this season 926 yards and 7 touchdowns on 151 carries. He also caught a team-high 44 passes and turned them into 444 yards and 3 more scores.
Anderson was a three-year starter and recorded 51 tackles, 10 sacks, 17 tackles for loss, 12 quarterback hurries and one interception, which he returned for a touchdown against Louisiana-Monroe.

I give a hearty Thank-You to Bryce Young, Will Anderson Jr. & Jahmyr Gibbs for playing at the University of Alabama. Roll Tide !
These guys will make great Pros.
Bryce Young gave Georgia a wake up call in the SEC Championship game. He’s the only player at Alabama I would want to see on Georgia’s roster. He reminds me of Drew Brees.
You are so full of $h!t that you squish when you walk.
Silly comment. I’m giving you benefit of doubt by calling it silly. In your attempt to troll you just said that you didn’t think the most dominant defensive player the last 2 years is good enough for Georgia. The same player that Georgia didn’t recruit.
In 4th quarter Will Anderson was no where to be found in the last 3 Alabama’s losses. Star players make big plays in 4th Quarter to seal games off.
Doug, just because a player isn’t getting his name called doesn’t mean he isn’t being effective. The other team is still having to scheme around him. Think Darnell Washington. He only catches 2 maybe 3 balls a game. But his presence opens the opportunity for other players to get open.
Good luck to Bryce, Will and Jahmyr in the NFL. We are going to miss y’all at the Capstone. Can’t wait to see y’all on Sundays. RTR!!!
