Paul Finebaum weighs in on Billy Napier's first season at Florida
It’s almost always an up-and-down time in a coach’s first year at a new program, and Gators head coach Billy Napier’s first season at Florida did have its down moments. Napier’s team finished out the season at 6-7 with a 3-5 record in the conference.
“I thought it was a disaster,” Finebaum said. “I say that because there has been an expectation that Florida got the best hire. The Brian Kelly-Billy Napier debate that we talked about… it just fell apart. And it fell apart in the most difficult way at the end.”
Finebaum noted some of the other issues not fully in Napier’s control, but still believes there was plenty left to be desired. It will be interesting to see how things progress moving forward with Napier set to take on the team for a second season.
Paul @Finebaum joined the guys on @MacandCube and discussed why he views Billy Napier's first season with @GatorsFB as a disaster.
