Trajan Jeffcoat, former Mizzou DL, announces SEC West transfer destination
Trajan Jeffcoat, a former star Mizzou DE, won’t be heading too far after entering the transfer portal a few weeks ago. Jeffcoat, who originally announced he would be returning in 2023, entered the portal and will now play at Arkansas next season, per his personal Twitter account.
This is a huge get for the Hogs in the portal. Jeffcoat totaled 84 tackles, 19.5 for loss with 11.5 sacks and 2 forced fumbles in 40 games across his career. In 2022, Jeffcoat totaled 21 tackles, 2.5 TFL and 1 sack.
Now, he’s heading south to Fayetteville.

Of course, Mizzou and Arkansas are rivals and will face off against the other in the Battle Line Rivalry game next season.
The redshirt senior out of Columbia will have just 1 season of eligibility remaining for the Razorbacks.
>was trying to transfer to South Carolina
>woke Karen in our athletic department blocks his transfer because of something he did as a freshman
I hope he dominates on the field and becomes the greatest DE the hogs have ever had.
It would help get this female Benedict Arnold in our administration fired.
LOL, he’s good but nowhere close to crazy good. SC will fine, as will Mizzou.
It’s so unbelievable that he won’t play for his home town team because of some woke biddy.
Arkansas always picking up Mizzou players. Difference between Mizzou and Arky is you want our players. We don’t want yours
I think we both know that it’s they don’t want to go there. Don’t act like you’re special lol
Not really. Arkansas may end up losing 8 games this year because of lack of talent. If KJ gets hurt again say good night. Arky had a bunch of super seniors in 2021 and they did well but those players are gone.

So he tweets he is staying at Mizzou, then does a 180 and jumps in the portal to, it is presumed, go home to South Carolina. That falls through due to something (are details on this out there? am I that far behind?) Now he ends up in Fayetteville. Did he just go to the highest bidder when he couldn’t go home? Did he burn the bridge with Mizzou when he entered the portal such he couldn’t go back? Did Mizzou do something to him (rescind or not offer $) such that he wouldn’t go back?
Not sure he burned a bridge but the staff may have simply moved on while he was in the portal. A few days after he announced he was staying at Mizzou the DE from ASU committed, and Jeffcoat was basically left without a spot. Had he not messed around in the portal for so long things may have been different, idk. I guess commitment goes both ways…
Ok you have a market report on yourself. Now Just pick a program and stay there already and quit ruining everyone else careful planning
Does anyone know what happened to him not being able to get in to South Carolina? Sources said it wasn’t an academic issue. He was a kid from right outside of Columbia that wanted to transfer to the Gamecocks. We are in dire need of Pass rushers as we only have a few on roster.
Total mistake on his part. If he wasn’t going to USC he should have stayed at Mizzou.
