Anthony Lucas, Texas A&M DL, announces plans to enter NCAA Transfer Portal
Texas A&M defensive lineman Anthony Lucas announced Tuesday that he would be entering the NCAA Transfer Portal after just 1 season in College Station.
Lucas, a former 5-star prospect in the Class of 2022, played in 7 games this season on a 5-7 Texas A&M squad. He totaled 10 tackles, 1 tackle for loss and 1 QBH across the year.

That’s a rough loss from the nation’s No. 1 recruiting class. Lucas was rated as the No. 32 player in the nation out of high school and picked the Aggies over a laundry list of big name programs, including Alabama, Notre Dame, Oregon and Miami.
The transfer portal window closes on Jan. 18. Texas A&M has over 25 players currently in the portal, the most of any SEC team.
And the last of the indefinitely suspended players enters the portal.
Hope he is able to develop a little self discipline and succeed elsewhere.
Another example of ignorance or lack of journalistic integrity.
Ethan, do better.

That’s a shame. Lucas is a beast physically. I’d really hoped he’d work out with the Aggies. If he gets his head straight, he’s going to wreck some O Lines wherever he goes.
Maybe he’ll join his buddy at LSU.
Scuttlebutt is Lucas is one of the few portal guys Aggie coaches have put a considerable effort to keeping in Maroon & White. May not be a done deal.
