Jimbo Fisher took some time on Wednesday to reflect on the current state of college football given the transfer portal and name, image and likeness.

Fisher explained that he thinks NIL is good for players and that he’d like to see more clarity and consistency regarding rules, but the lack of regulation is concerning.

“The problem with all of it is there is no consistency with rules, and when you get into the portal, there is so much tampering going on. It’s a joke. It’s ridiculous,” Fisher said.

As far as transfers A&M will accept, Fisher said as many as the Aggies need.

“There is going to be another wave of transfers when the bowl games end. That thing is ever changing,” he said. “… We’ll continue adding the right guys.”

Ultimately, it comes down to the consistency you recruit with, and relationships you build over the years.

Fisher added that the things head coaches have to deal with in college football has changed a lot during the last couple of years.
