Former Georgia standout Nakobe Dean says Stetson Bennett deserves a statue
There have been plenty of mixed opinions surrounding Georgia quarterback Stetson Bennett — something that’s a little bit interesting considering he has quite literally led his team to a pair of consecutive national title victories — but he silenced some of that negative talk with his performance in the 65-7 win over TCU.
Bennett finished out the evening completing 18-of-25 passes for 304 yards and 4 touchdowns. He also added 39 yards on the ground and 2 rushing touchdowns.
For former Georgia standout Nakobe Dean, that’s enough to warrant a statue. And there truly never is a dull moment with Dean.
“Build a statue of the man in Athens,” he said. “I’ll be there when they reveal it.”
It will be interesting to see how things continue to play out for Bennett beyond this season with varying projections on how he’ll fare at the next level.

Always great catching up with Nakobe Dean.
Come for his enthusiasm, stay for his comments on Stetson Bennett. Good luck in the playoffs Nakobe! #Dawgs pic.twitter.com/8rJ8wKuxum— Maria Martin (@Ria_Martin) January 10, 2023
It would be very well deserved.

Name a field after him, too.
Stetson Field or Stetson Stadium.
Not trying to rain on anyone’s parade but a Statue? Okay then, how about a statuette next to it of Noah Ruggles? Party on!
Cry more and GFY.
