College Football Playoff expansion: Rose Bowl signs agreement to allow 12-team Playoff field by 2024
It’s official.
The Rose Bowl signed an agreement Wednesday night that will allow the College Football Playoff to expand to 12 teams by 2024, a report from Pete Thamel said. The Rose Bowl was originally concerned that expanding would decrease revenue and wanted assurances after its contract expires in 2025.
The CFP originally gave the Rose Bowl an ultimatum to make a decision before sundown Wednesday or, possibly, get left behind.

A 12-team Playoff field has been a controversial topic for some time. Some believe it will devalue regular season games, while others think it will be a net positive for the sport.
It will definitely increase viewership. Do you think expansion to 12 teams is a good thing?
