Stephen A. Smith believes that the team with the best chance to beat Georgia is a team that will not be in the College Football Playoff.

On ESPN’s First Take, Smith was joined by Sam Acho and Paul Finebaum. The trio was asked which team has the best shot to upset Georgia. Smith had a surprising response.

“They’re (Georgia) gonna win the National Championship, that’s where I am at with it,” said Smith. “That’s why I wanted Alabama back in there, I wanted somebody that had a shot to go up against them (Georgia).”

Smith went on to say that the Ohio State Buckeyes are “lucky to be in the Playoff” after losing in blowout fashion against Michigan. Smith also does not believe that the TCU Horned Frogs can beat the Wolverines. By process of elimination, Smith believes that the Wolverines have the best chance at knocking off the Bulldogs.

Finebaum and Acho both like the Buckeyes’ chances more than Smith. Acho pointed to the receiving weapons of the Buckeyes, which could give the Georgia secondary trouble.
