Jacob Hood, former Georgia OL, announces B1G transfer destination
Jacob Hood has found his new home. The former Georgia offensive lineman is heading to the Big Ten.
Hood announced his commitment to Nebraska on social media Monday.

As a recruit, Hood was a blue-chip offensive tackle prospect in the class of 2022. He was rated 4-stars, the No. 14 Tennessee product, No. 36 offensive tackle and No. 426 prospect overall on the 247Sports Composite.
Hood, listed at 6-8, 350 pounds, enrolled at UGA in January 2022 but had ankle surgery prior to the start of spring practice. He took a redshirt for the Bulldogs’ 2022 national championship campaign, giving him 4 remaining full seasons of eligibility for 2023 and beyond.
Matt Rhule’s Huskers have now picked up 3 Dawgs from the transfer portal. Hood joins MJ Sherman and Arik Gilbert in going from Athens to Lincoln via the portal.
I don’t think it’s a coincidence. Rhule coached the Carolina Panthers the past three seasons, and he’s seen first-hand the type of NFL development that goes on in Athens. So many UGA transfers have become starters for other teams the past few years, you’d be crazy not to give one a hard look and more benefit of the doubt than most.
He was injured all year also. Wish him well.

He could have stayed at Georgia and eventually would have become an NFL Tackle… I wish him well…. Now I might have a new big 10 team to watch!!!! I used to love Nebraska in the old days. With all these dawgs on Nebraska. I guess I might root for BIG RED again!!!!!
Still. What does it tell you about Georgia’s depth for 5 star DBs, 5 star linebackers, 5 star generational TE talent and Elite starting wide receivers and finally 4 star dinosaur 6.8 350 pound tackles can leave in the portal. And it has basically no effect on the Georgia 2 deep or even 3 deep!!!!!!!
PS. These trumped up charges need to be dropped. Then Thomas needs to find a good quiet girl who will support his career!!!!! These are all FIRST OFFENSE BS CHARGES!!!!!!
