The SEC Players of the Week for Week 1 have been announced.

Florida quarterback Anthony Richardson is the Offensive Player of the Week after rushing accounting for 274 total yards and three rushing touchdowns in a 29-26 win over Utah.

Georgia safety Christopher Smith is the co-Defensive Player of the Week after recording six tackles, a tackle for loss and an interception in the Bulldogs’ 49-3 win over Oregon. He will share the honors with Arkansas linebacker Bumper Pool, who had 13 tackles and a tackle for loss in the Razorbacks’ 31-24 win over Cincinnati.

Kentucky freshman Barion Brown had a 100-yard kickoff return for a touchdown in the Wildcats’ 37-13 win over Miami (Ohio). He was named the Special Teams Player of the Week.

Vanderbilt’s Jayden McGowan (four catches, 116 yards, touchdown) was the Freshman Player of the Week.

Alabama center Darrian Dalcourt and Mississippi State center LaQuinston Sharp were the co-Players of the Week on the offensive line.

Florida defensive lineman Brenton Cox (10 tackles, TFL, QBH) and Arkansas defensive end Jordan Domineck (two tackles, sack, forced fumble and fumble recovery) were named co-Players of the Week on the defensive line.
