Mississippi State men’s basketball fans are ready to show up in big-time support of the Bulldogs for their SEC opener on Wednesday against Alabama.

They answered calls to “Pack the Hump” and delivered a sell-out crowd, the program announced on Tuesday night.

So it should make for a spirited atmosphere as the No. 21 Bulldogs open their 18-game SEC slate and take on No. 8 Alabama at Humphrey Coliseum.

State (11-1) will try and bounce back following a 58-52 loss to Drake. The Bulldogs entered that contest as SEC’s last undefeated team and one of 4 unbeaten programs left in the nation. State is also one of 4 programs nationally who are unblemished with multiple wins over NCAA NET Quad 1 opponents (Arizona State, Connecticut, Purdue).

Alabama (10-2), meanwhile, is no stranger to big-time environments, and it’s already captured 3 AP Top 25 victories highlighted by wins over North Carolina (103-101) and Houston (71-65) when both programs were ranked No. 1.

The game is set for 8:05 p.m. local time on the SEC Network.
