NFL Mock Draft 2023: CBS Sports' latest Round 1 projections feature 16 SEC stars
The 2023 NFL Draft will be here in a few short months. Several top players have already opted out of bowl games in order to prepare for the NFL Combine.
On Monday, CBS Sports analyst Ryan Wilson updated his Round 1 mock draft, and he had 16 SEC players going in the first 32 picks.
As you can see below, 5 SEC stars are expected to go in the top 10 of Wilson’s mock, led by Alabama QB Bryce Young at No. 1 overall:
- No. 1 — Bryce Young, QB, Alabama — Houston Texans
- No. 2 — Jalen Carter, DT, Georgia — Chicago Bears
- No. 3 — Will Anderson Jr., Edge, Alabama — Seattle Seahawks
- No. 5 — Will Levis, QB, Kentucky — Indianapolis Colts
- No. 7 — Kelee Ringo, CB, Georgia — Detroit Lions
- No. 12 — O’Cyrus Torrence, OL, Florida — Seattle Seahawks
- No. 15 — Anthony Richardson, QB, Florida — New York Jets
- No. 19 — Brian Branch, DB, Alabama — Jacksonville Jaguars
- No. 24 — Cam Smith, CB, South Carolina — Los Angeles Chargers
- No. 25 — Nolan Smith, Edge, Georgia — Baltimore Ravens
- No. 26 — Drew Sanders, Edge, Arkansas — Denver Broncos
- No. 27 — Jalin Hyatt, WR, Tennessee — Dallas Cowboys
- No. 28 — Broderick Jones, OL, Georgia — Cincinnati Bengals
- No. 29 — Darnell Washington, TE, Georgia — Kansas City Chiefs
- No. 31 — Antonio Johnson, DB, Texas A&M — Buffalo Bills
- No. 32 — Jahmyr Gibbs, RB, Alabama — Philadelphia Eagles
