Sam McCall is following in the footsteps of his new head coach. Like Jimbo Fisher did a few years ago, McCall is heading from Florida State to Texas A&M.

McCall announced his commitment to the Aggies on Saturday via his Twitter account.

McCall, a former Lake Gibson (Lakeland, Florida) standout, was the top signee of FSU’s 2022 recruiting class. On the 247Sports composite rankings, McCall was rated 4-stars, the No. 4 safety, No. 8 Florida recruit and No. 48 prospect overall nationally. After initially committing to Florida, McCall signed with Florida State over offers from 14 other schools, including Alabama and LSU.

In his season with the Seminoles, McCall played in 8 games. He recorded 5 tackles, a forced fumble and a pass breakup. McCall had 2 tackles in FSU’s 38-3 road win at Syracuse. His final appearance with the Noles came on Nov. 19 at home against Louisiana.
