Trevor Lawrence responds to boos from South Carolina fans after being shown on video board during Gator Bowl
Trevor Lawrence’s successful career at Clemson led to him being taken No. 1 overall by the Jacksonville Jaguars in the 2021 NFL Draft. After a decent rookie season, he now has the Jaguars on the verge of winning the AFC South in his 2nd season.
That’s made him a popular figure in Duval County, Florida, and with the Gator Bowl being played at the home of the Jags — TIAA Bank Stadium — it wasn’t a surprise to see his face pop up on the stadium’s giant screen.
As you might expect, that was met by some boos from the South Carolina faithful gathered to watch their team take on Notre Dame, as you can see and hear below:

Lawrence, who was 3-for-3 against the Gamecocks during his decorated college career at Clemson, had a simple response:

Lawrence will certainly be watching his former team go up against Tennessee in Friday night’s Orange Bowl. He found himself in a good mood as the Gamecocks fell 45-38 to the Fighting Irish.
As for his current team, they’ll be in Houston to face the Texans on Sunday.
