Kentucky and former Ole Miss linebacker Jacquez Jones announced Saturday that he would be entering the NFL Draft after 5 years in college.

The star linebacker spent 3 years with Ole Miss before transferring and spending his final 2 in Lexington. He totaled an impressive 305 tackles, 17.5 tackles for loss, 8 pass deflections, 4 sacks, 4 forced fumbles and 2 interceptions across his career.

He posted his announcement on Twitter Saturday afternoon with a personal video message to the Wildcats program and Big Blue Nation.

Jones’ most impressive season was his first in Lexington. He totaled 86 tackles, leading the team. Jones also totaled 4 pass breakups and 3 QB hurries in 2021 for a Wildcats team that won 10 games.

He’s expected to be a 6th/7th round draft pick in the 2023 NFL Draft.
