Paul Finebaum praises Mike Leach for being a 'truly irreplaceable' figure in college football
Paul Finebaum praised the life and legacy of Mississippi State head coach Mike Leach Tuesday morning on Get Up.
Finebaum praised Leach’s brilliant innovative mind, his legendary offensive schemes that are present in the college and NFL game today and, of course, his famous wit and personality. Leach, who was 61, passed away from complications from a heart condition he suffered Sunday evening.
Hear Finebaum’s full tribute below:
“[Mike Leach was] the smartest coach I’ve ever been around. … He’s one of the truly irreplaceable figures in the history of the game. Records are one thing … but the legacy that one leaves behind is what I heard from his many friends and coaching colleagues.”
