Mike Wright keeps it himself, scores from 59 yards out to give Vanderbilt early lead over Kentucky
Vanderbilt is in Lexington on Saturday to take on No. 24 Kentucky. The Wildcats haven’t lost to the Commodores in 6 previous meetings between the 2 schools.
Can Vandy pull off a big-time upset on the road and give Clark Lea the biggest win of his brief tenure at the helm of the program? Quarterback Mike Wright could potentially figure into those plans.
On the Commodores’ opening possession, Wright showed off his running skills with his team down 3-0, as the junior kept it himself and raced to the end zone for a 59-yard score. It’s Wright’s 5th rushing touchdown of the season:

There’s still a long way to go in this one for the Commodores if they’re able to leave the Bluegrass State with a shocking win over the Wildcats. They’ll look to build on Wright’s scoring run and hold Kentucky at bay to grab a 4th win of the season and keep their extremely faint bowl hopes alive.
