He played more at Alabama than he did at Oklahoma. His degree is from Alabama. Everyone at Alabama understood why he transferred and no one is upset about it. He accomplished more at Alabama than he did at Oklahoma – does he have any National Championship rings from Oklahoma?

He played at both schools and was a very significant player at both so I see no reason both schools should not be able to claim him. I believe Jalen considers himself as an Alabama guy.

But anyone saying it is wrong for either school to claim him is just way off base and probably has some kind of agenda. Ignore them.

A lot of it as about what the Head Coach wants. I know Vols fans were upset when Butch Jones hired Mike DeBord as OC. At Michigan under Lloyd Carr, he as OC and he TE coach, and concentrated on the running game. At UT, he had a wide open offense that was among the Vols’ best until Heupel came along. Then he left, and the offense sucked after he left. When Jim Chaney was at Georgia, he led good offenses. When he went to Tennessee under Pruitt, his offense sucked. The coordinators are always helped or hindered by the head coach’s direction on what he wants.

In reply to TheRealcojones. Leghumper, you keep mentioning different recruiting statistics but not the average stars number, in which the Gators are 6th overall, and 4th in the SEC. Quality > quantity. Also, schools like Texas and TAMU have had high recruiting classes and yet it hasn’t yielded championship results. Like Doc said, we’ll see in the next few years if CBN will be the Gator coach of the future, but I’m feeling optimistic and looking forward to next season’s growth. In terms of fanbases, I’m glad I’m in the Gators camp, fun posts and insightful comments overall. Except for a few, it’s nice to read about Gator fans who enjoy their team and can be upbeat and optimistic even when the team is having struggles. Life is full of ups and downs, and how you handle them says a lot about you as a person.

I can agree with that. Kelly, like Miles, is stubborn. He insists on running that Notre Dame offense when he doesn’t have to run it anymore. Hence, Jayden Daniels over Garrett Nussmeier. And his desperate need to bring in TEs when he has all these great WRs. At least his offense is not as antiquated as Les Miles’s offense.

The grass ain’t always greener. Going from Washington to Bama puts a massive spotlight on him. Having to start with a new QB in your first year under Saban would be terrible. Bama went 10-2 this year with 2 respectable losses. They could have easily lost 2 more. For the same amount of money (or even if it was a little more), just stay where you are and don’t have all that pressure. Plus you stay in a weaker conference and a few losses won’t cost you your job

In reply to TheRealcojones. RealCo, Sen Rubio was a 93 graduate of UF. That is some good competition the kid is playing against. Miami Northwestern is a Mecca of HS football in Miami and Cardinal Gibbons is really good at producing talent.
