Ole Miss will see some roster turnover on defense after an announcement from Demon Clowney, who shared on social media his plans to enter the transfer portal.

Clowney wrote that Oxford’s been his home for 3 years, and he thanked everyone who supported him and helped him make memories and relationships. He also thanked coaches and teammates for helping him and he’ll always be grateful.

Before this season, Clowney appeared in 8 games for the Rebels. This season, he appeared in 3 games, and made 4 total tackles. He had 2 tackles for a loss against Georgia Tech, including a sack.

The 6-foot-4 and 250 pounder from Baltimore was a 4-star prospect coming out of high school, and was rated the No. 223 prospect by 247Sports. He was also a top-10 recruit in the state of Maryland.

Clowney is a cousin of Cleveland Browns’ Jadeveon Clowney.
