MarShawn Lloyd, former South Carolina RB, announces Pac-12 transfer destination
MarShawn Lloyd has found his new home.
The former South Carolina running back announced on social media that he would continue his career at Southern Cal, as the former blue-chip recruit from the Washington, D.C. area goes from one USC to another.
Lloyd led the Gamecocks in rushing this past season with 573 yards and 9 touchdowns on 111 carries for a 5.16 per carry average.
Last season, he came back from an ACL injury and appeared in all 12 regular season games as he worked his way back into form. He was the Gamecocks’ fourth-leading rushing with 64 carries for 228 yards and one touchdown, along with 3 catches for 44 yards.
Lloyd suffered a quad contusion during the Missouri game this past season, and missed 3 games, and returned with limited touches in the regular-season finale against Clemson. He had 11 carries for 17 yards.
Lloyd’s 11 total touchdowns made him the team’s second-highest scorer behind only quarterback Spencer Rattler.

He had some injuries at South Carolina but did not develop as a go-to running back. SC’s O-Line did not help him much. Lots of luck in that California sun.
Hey Alabama Fan: That same OL of ours that you decided to disparage was the same OL that blocked for Kevin Harris, when he led the SEC in rushing in 2020. That means he outrushed Najee Harris, Tank Bigsby, et. al.
Softer defenses for this soft young man to play against. Best of luck
Hope hes doesn’t rip his acl chasing the money. California taxes are gonna eat that money fast. Bye
God I hope that USC is the first team the SEC goes after once it gets the blind fold off and their pants up
So
Pretty sure the breeze will blow at some point and he will go down with an injury. Charmin soft.
