Matt Hayes will not read these comments, will just count how many comments he's got and knows people have fell for this click bait of an article. That said, he's an idiot.
Go back to Auburn where he originally committed?
I second LSUSMC. Even last year's haul their overall grade is higher than TAMU's grade despite that ranking. It's the staff and coaches who seem to fall on the crack of relying on a kid's talent and no development nor discipline. Same problem with Clemson in my opinion. That needs to be changed.
That I agree. When they're 1 of 8 teams that hasn't created 1 turnover it should not feel like a party. Coaches need for them to feel it's not a party.
I'm sure I heard somewhere on a podcast that camps, especially June camps, are very important to Alabama because they're evaluating their prospects on the field and don't really rely on websites to recruit their athletes. But I guess the lazy part, as in evaluation part 2, 3 and maybe 10th level, could be true.
I am way late in terms of being a college football fan. But from what I remember, players used to play for not only your school's logo, but for the kind of football your conference plays. Brian Robinson is the best example for this. But now, it's not anymore. Players are using the portal as means to their end and don't care about the G or the M or the A on their helmet. As Krik pointed out, NFL or bust. It'ss totally fine, I get it. I don't hate it for the players. But I felt the true regional pride of CFB before 2013 made September atmosphere a lot better.
Hope it's not another case of Shaun Wade. Or it's going to be a long afternoon for Cincy.
He wants to top Burrow's "total domination" quote.
Yup. Smitty's performance last year was highly affected because he got the Heisman. As for Young, the ups and downs of this team, has anyone noticed that Bryce flinched at all? Nope.
Ain't he 26-2 at Alabama? That's a failure as a starter?
I guess we'll see Terrion Arnold's name on the basketball depth chart?
Vanilla Ice's kid out here, huh? Loves the 90's too.
Kick Six, Clemson illegal pick (and Daron Payne's version didn't really help ease the upset), Johnny Football and Cam.
Is it just me or is everyone getting the sense that maybe it's not Billingsley's football effort that's keeping him in the doghouse but his problem with Covid protocols? Maybe he's the one guy that Saban talked as not being vaccinated?
Will be remembered as the "quit asking" tv personality.
You are very on point with your number 3. People always say he's not a coach anymore, just happens to have great personnel around him. It's demeaning to other coaches if you think it that way because it means they can't evaluate people. But even if that is true, it will still take immense know how in coaching to win, and Saban has not not only mastered how to evaluate his coaches and assistants but has also mastered how to handle the game of football week after week.
I'd like to think that someone pushed him to join as a walk on and try to learn as much from the coaches. And then leave once they think they've got enough try to practice it elsewhere. I mean, I'd probably do that route knowing I don't have a shot at the depth chart. And to that I'm starting to think that's what Paul Tyson is doing too, the learning part I mean, even if you know you can transfer and actually start elsewhere.
Except for that one South Carolina game, UGA's trajectory is better than when Clemson was Clemsoning. But, they've acquired way better QBs recently and that's the difference. If, after JT, they continue to get quality QBs every recruitment cycle, they'll be in good shape.
As a recruit, what's the intention on recording your conversation with Saban?
Writing was on the wall. Made him a healthy scratch... In lieu of 2 backs that didn't reach 50 yards.
Analyst, assistant, that's game. On field coach, please no.
But Cole, you can also say that Georgia probably had a thought of squeezing every drop of this hire to sell it to recruits. But because of the possible cancellation of football this year, by the time this is over, a lot will already be talked about Bama's new coaches and the Sport Science Center will be well-established already. And (granting Rhea and Ballou will make a lot of difference on UA's athletes) Cochran's departure ain't gonna be that significant of an impact in relation to the program.
Was he the guy who Alabama sees as an offensive lineman but wanted to play defense?
Whooops. Every recruiting analysts' crystal ball a little foggy I guess.
