UGA lives a life better than most humans. Seriously, there's a whole youtube video on how UGA is treated like royalty. Saying UGA is "deformed" is discriminating against other English bulldogs and will get them sued by UGA's literal own lawyer.
I hope Monken stays until he retires (although that won't happen) while teaching the other offensive position coaches what he knows so one can take over for him when he leaves. He's the best OC UGA could ask for.
While the ooc schedule is weak next year, it was the SEC that made UGA drop OK as their opponent. Sucks because would have been a great test to start the season with a new QB as a starter in a big game.
Wrong. The Heisman is given to a player "whose performance best exhibits the pursuit of excellence with integrity" and who "epitomize great ability combined with diligence, performance, and hard work."
No, most are defending what the Heisman is truly about, and it ain't stats since you don't seem to know that.
I believe Bowers is the best college athlete right now. Too bad the Heisman is mainly a QB/RB award.
I hope UGA wins it all because it'd be an even more remarkable story. Losing 15 players to draft and 12 to transfer while losing a few assistant coaches. Bring in their own recruiting class without looking in the transfer portal then goes undefeated to become one of very few teams to win back-to-back national championships. That's more remarkable than a coach abandoning school because he couldn't get it done there (or just afraid to be in the SEC when that school joins) and getting transfers to win for him.
I agree that the team needs to show up every Saturday. That said, even the GOAT coach loses games he shouldn't. Last year aTm, this year at UT (not discrediting UT, but UA was so undisciplined with 17 penalties and shot themselves in the foot. A loss is still a loss though), the two years straight Ole Miss beat UA, etc. It's hard to go undefeated unless you're a really good team that plays in a weak conference (ACC),or can get the most out of your players every game while coaching almost perfectly.
That's been the case all season. It's like the team doesn't get motivated until they play in a big game against a ranked opponent now.
None of which has mattered yet, and may not as long as the defense keeps opposing offenses under wraps. Of course, that becomes a much more difficult proposition if the opposing offense is Ohio State’s or USC’s. Wasn't it supposed to be much more difficult for the defense to keep UT's offense under wraps as well? If I remember correctly, that defense that you're saying will have a much more difficult time against those offenses held the number one scoring offense in the nation to just one touchdown and 13 points.
And sadly, it's the same injury for him. Hope he recovers completely and quickly.
What's funny is Vandy has a chance to have a better record at the end of the season than aTm right now. They likely won't, but they still have that chance.
Too bad UGA doesn't have a chance to whip the Tide like they did in the national championship game since the Tide blew their chance at the SECCG and national championship game, unlike UGA.
And the fact that Kiby was rumored to be looking at the SC job seriously. That immediately made UGA want him. Glad they got him too.
Yeah, but did he ever lose so much talent in one year and still looked like the best team in the nation the next year? You realize UGA lost basically an entire recruiting class at once, right? That doesn't really happen.
Okay smart guy. Point out a season where Saban lost 28 players and 4 assistant coaches then still looked liked the best team in the nation the next year. I'll wait.
Then, it won't happen this year. The Fiesta and Peach Bowls will be the semifinals this year. Rose Bowl is Big Ten #1 vs Pac-12 #1. Sugar Bowl is SEC #1 vs Big 12 #1. Orange Bowl is ACC #1 vs SEC #2, Big Ten #2, or Notre Dame. Cotton Bowl is guaranteed to have the highest ranked Group of 5 champion (because the Fiesta Bowl and Peach bowl are the semi finals) and some other at large team.
Of course there is a scenario like that even though it's very unlikely. 2 thru 4 just implode in the last few weeks. USC crumbles as well. UT and Oregon win out while UGA goes undefeated. LSU wins the West but loses the SECCG while Ole Miss wins out. The new top 4 are: 1. UGA 2. UT 3. Oregon 4. Ole Miss The college football world would be in chaos. Then again, I remember there was a year chaos happened in almost every conference championship game where the severe underdog with a bad record won and went to their conference championship bowl game. So although it is very unlikely, it is possible.
How is this low class? All he said was he grew up a UT fan and now he's all UGA. He didn't take any shot at UT at all.
Y'all also can't win with class. Storming the field, tearing down goal posts, and singing Dixieland Delight isn't "winning with class".
Same reason UT fans can't lose with class. At least UGA fans don't throw mustard bottles at people.
14. Vanderbilt (3-6 overall, 0-5 in SEC) Previous ranking: 14 This week: 38-27 L to Vanderbilt 8. South Carolina (6-3, 3-3) Previous ranking: 9 This week: 38-27 W over Vanderbilt So Vandy lost to USC and Vandy this week? They played two SEC games and got the same exact score in both, huh? Does this mean they won one and lost two somehow? Need some proof reading.
If LSU beats UGA in the SECCG, LSU moves into top 3 and UGA drops to 4 at most. UT still misses the playoffs. Just like what happened in 2017 with Bama or last year with UGA.
Only way this will happen is if Oregon loses another game and TCU loses a game then the Big 12 Championship. Committee members will usually always put an 12-1 conference champion over an 11-1 non-conference champion.
Also didn't want to throw as much with the weather.
Did the right thing. Likely would have move turn overs or shorter punts with that weather.
Losing all of that and still looking like the best team in the nation when they play with everything. Don't think even Saban has done so good with losing so much before. Could be wrong though.
