JJ Weaver, star Kentucky defender, reveals plans for 2023 season
JJ Weaver has been a key part of Kentucky’s defense for a long time now, coming into his own the past 2 years.
In 2022, the talented linebacker played in 11 games, recording 47 tackles (6 for a loss), 3 sacks, 3 fumble recoveries and 2 forced fumbles.
On Sunday, Weaver revealed his plans for the 2023 season. As you can see below, he took to Twitter to announce he was returning to school next fall for one more year at Kentucky:

Weaver will continue to be a team leader on the Kentucky defense in 2023, his fifth year with the Wildcats.
Can he improve his draft stock in his final year before he enters the 2024 NFL Draft? We’ll find out next fall!
Our best defensive player. Great news for the Cats!
Yes sir! I’m looking for a big year from Weaver.
Really needed him back! With linebackers taking big hit it’s great to have weaver back.
I didn’t think he would be back, so I’m pleasantly surprised… The defense and especially the young linebacker room will benefit from his leadership.
