Marcellus Wiley was blown away by the audio that was recently leaked about a Kirby Smart pregame speech.

While Smart has said that he’s not sure about the specific game, although he noted that it wasn’t from the national championship against TCU.

Wiley on a recent podcast episode ranked the pregame speeches he heard from 6 NFL head coaches he played for, but Smart exceeds all of them.

“There’s none coming close to what Kirby Smart said,” Wiley said on the Dan Patrick Show. “I wish I could repeat it right now, but on the podcast I do. Point being, that was the hypest, most direct, primal engaging pregame speech I’ve ever heard. There’s not going to be another one that touches that one.”

Wiley said Smart’s speech was effective because it went to the “source of why are we playing football,” and doesn’t speak about execution, discipline and commitment.

“Go know their — that’s it,” he said. “When you first started playing football before you knew how to play, before you knew the plays, you knew the scheme, you knew to go knock that dude, and he just went back to channel zero. That’s the best thing I’ve ever heard. If I was on that team, I would’ve helped out and chipped in on that 65-7 win.”
