Javon Foster is taking advantage of his extra year of eligibility. The Mizzou standout lineman is returning to Columbia to play for the Tigers in 2023.

Foster shared the big news on social media.

The 2023 season will be Foster’s sixth at Mizzou. He took a redshirt in 2018 and appeared in each of the past 4 seasons for the Tigers, taking over the starting left tackle spot in 2021. The NCAA is not counting 2020 against players’ eligibility, allowing Foster to return for another redshirt senior season in 2023.

The Associated Press named Foster an All-SEC second-team selection for 2022. NFL.com Draft analyst Chad Reuter named Foster to the second string of his national All-Senior Team for potential 2023 prospects.

Foster will look to give his NFL Draft stock a boost in 2023 as Mizzou looks to improve upon a 6-7 finish in 2022.
