Colin Castleton achieves career milestone during strong game against Missouri
Florida Gators forward Colin Castleton had himself a game in the Saturday matchup against No. 20-ranked Missouri with 16 points to go with season-highs in rebounds (13) and assists (6). He also got his first double-double since Nov. 24 against Xavier.
He has surpassed the 1,000-point mark, making him the first Gators player to do such since Chris Chiozza back in 2018. He is the second Florida transfer in program history to Florida transfer to ever have 1,000 points at UF with the only other being Dorian Finney-Smith.
Castleton came into the contest needing just 11 points to reach that mark, and obviously has not failed to rise to the occasion. Florida defeated Mizzou in weekend action, winning 73-64 to move to a 10-7 overall record.
How he continues to make an impact as a player who projects as a strong future NBA player will be something to watch.
Mizzou has played by far their two worst games of the season in a row now. I guess this the time to get the bad ones out of the way but man, this team can’t hit an open look to save their lives right now and literally giving easy W’s away.
I went to the game and mizz had a great defensive plan at the begging . Gators made some 3 a as that is what I saw was the difference . Mizz has a good team so don’t let this one bother you to much
After CC, the next 2-9 players are a jumbled bunch, close in skill level, but all bring a little something different of value. I think TG has just figured out the right line up and rotations at this point, to put it all together.
Somewhere Adam Spencer is crying.
