ESPN's Rece Davis gives honest assessment of Stetson Bennett
ESPN College Football GameDay anchor Rece Davis has some fun opinions on Georgia quarterback Stetson Bennett.
Bennett, who will lead the Bulldogs into their second consecutive College Football Playoff championship game Monday against TCU, plays with a level of fearlessness and recklessness, but as Davis explains to former Duke head coach Mike Krzyzewski.
“He’s got a brashness and a swagger to him,” Davis said. “His and I’ll clean this up for you, give a darn is busted in a good way.”
“He is completely unafraid of the consequence of failure.”@ReceDavis spoke with Coach K about what makes Stetson Bennett the perfect leader for this Georgia football team.

As Davis describes it Bennett has battled against tough odds to emerge as the leader of the Bulldogs. He proved many doubters wrong, including his own coaches.
“His current offensive coordinator told him before last year if you want to play you should leave,” Davis added. “He’s stubborn. Stubborn to a fault.”
All of the doubting by others and adversity he faced as a walk-on in the program has turned Bennett into mentally-tough quarterback that Davis believes isn’t afraid of any moment.
“There was a time when he was reckless, but he’s found a way to dial that back just enough to where he’s daring, he’s swashbuckling and he’s fearless in the right way.”
Please let Stet Cook this final game!
Rece ain’t wrong. I think he perfectly described who Stet is.
Stetson is an adrenaline junkie.
He plays meh until the chips are down.
He seems to create adversity.
Bad throws, throwing beyond the line of scrimmage.
Sleepy, disinterested mediocrity.
Mailman?
More like a fireman who starts fires in order to heroically put them out.
I want fourth quarter Stetson in the first quarter.
Seems to be working.
