Georgia struggling against Georgia Tech: Fans react to surprisingly close first half in Athens

No. 1 Georgia entered the game favored by 36.5 points at home against in-state rival Georgia Tech. Early on, the Yellow Jackets are hanging much closer than expected.
The Yellow Jackets struck first, taking an early 7-0 lead in the first quarter.

Georgia Tech maintained its lead for a while. It was a 7-3 Yellow Jackets’ advantage at the end of the 1st quarter.

It could certainly get ugly, but for the first half, it was a very impressive performance from Brent Key’s squad that will have people watching closely in the second half.
