Joe Burrow provides classy response to question regarding Bills-Bengals rescheduling
The sports world came to a halt Monday night after Buffalo Bills safety Damar Hamlin collapsed on the field following a hit to Bengals wide receiver Tee Higgins. Hamlin, who is currently in critical condition at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center, had to be administered CPR on the field.
Head coaches Zac Taylor and Sean McDermott took both teams off the field and the game was later postponed, with no decision made on potential rescheduling as of Wednesday evening. Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow, a former national champion at LSU, was asked a question Wednesday afternoon about the possibility of relocating the game to Buffalo.
His response was as classy as they come.
Burrow on playing Buffalo: I think that would be tough. Just scheduling wise. Whatever Buffalo would want to do is what we would want to do. We’re behind them 100 percent.

There are many ways for the NFL to go about the rescheduling of the game, but ultimately the only that that matters is Hamlin’s health.
Here’s the video from Wednesday’s conference with Burrow’s full comments on the question.

Louisiana online sports betting is officially live in much of the state. Louisiana joined the handful of other SEC football states with legalized sports betting in January 2022.
Would expect nothing less from Joe.
Let’s just cancel the rest of the season and playoffs. Hopefully we will have a Cfp final but maybe we can cancel that too. Don’t mean to be unsympathetic to this injured player, but there are deaths going on in college, high school and even younger that don’t get this type of acknowledgement and these leagues and teams play on. These leagues and families are left w nothing. Football is a dangerous game, you know the risk when you walk on that field and bad things can happen. Injuries, accidents etc… are gonna happen.
You’re clearly being unsympathetic and even callous.
You know he doesn’t know what ‘unsympathetic’, ‘callous’, or even ‘clearly’ means.
Really? You don’t think I paid my dues dude. Laid on the field unconscious. Coach put me back in once I was awake. No offensive line so I could to get smeared again. For free. Get real bro. At least these guys get paid. And insurance. Did they stop the game for the paralyzed players who have passed on now? NO! ..it happens as Forest said and you know the risk going in. How many college players have resigned their free ticket scholarships now? Get real.
