Former Georgia Bulldogs and Miami Hurricanes head coach Mark Richt was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame recently and shared his reaction to being honored as one of the sport’s most prominent figures.

“We hugged and cried and laughed and had a great moment when it happened,” Richt said when he joined Nicole Auerbach and company on a podcast appearance.”

Richt is the fifth former Bulldogs coach to be named to the College Hall of Fame along with 16 former players from UGA.

Richt put together a record of 145-51 (.738) and was named Southeastern Conference Coach of the Year in 2002 and 2005 during his time at Georgia.
