O’Cyrus Torrence has made the call on 2023 and he’s declaring for the NFL Draft. The standout Florida offensive lineman announced his decision on Twitter.
The Greensburg, La. native expressed gratitude to his coaches and teammates.
“I want to thank my coaches at Florida and Louisiana for helping me become not only a better football player but also a better man. You challenged me every day to be the best version of myself,” Torrence said. “I also want to thank my teammates. I will miss going to battle with you guys and all the fun times we had together. I will always treasure our memories from this journey.”
While Torrence only spent one season in Gainesville, the Florida program will always have a special place in his heart.
“I want to thank Gator Nation for your support and making me feel like family,” Torrence said. “There’s nothing in the world like playing in The Swamp!”
It remains to be known if Torrence will participate in Florida’s contest vs. Oregon State in the Las Vegas Bowl.

He’s a good one, no doubt about it he’ll have a long successful NFL career...and NO Rolando, he won’t be playing in a meaningless bowl game and risk millions....
He turned out pretty well for a Sunbelt player, didn’t he? :) Both him and Montrell were great additions to this team.
Every team has at least 1 or 2 elite players (or 22!) and it’s a shame when they bail on the program/university that gave them a chance but that is the nature of college football poach and pay these days. CBN poached a couple of good ones and ULL suffered on the field, all is fair in the era of NIL...
Absolute truth.
At the same time, if they have enough talent, these players deserve to get more of a spotlight to showcase their skills. If they were still at ULL, people would probably say: yes, they’re good in a group of 5 conference, but can they play with the big boys? This year they’ve shown they can compete, and compete well, against top talent.
He was an excellent player and leader, and he gave an immediate boost to the o-line. Looking forward to watching him on Sundays!
Awesome gator, the team had him for too short a time. It was so refreshing to hear that the Oline was strength for the gators not a weakness. He was maybe the biggest contributor to that. Good luck in the nfl!
From a 3 star kid that major programs wouldn't give the time of day, to a projected late 1st round NFL interior lineman. I wish him all the happiness and fortune in the world, he's one of the good ones.
Go cash in young man, and please take AR with you.
