Nate Oats makes striking comparison between fans of Kentucky basketball and Alabama football
Nate Oats sees the pressure that Kentucky’s basketball program is under.
As the Alabama head basketball coach Oats sees the expectations put on the Crimson Tide’s football program every season where anything other than a championship is considered a disappointment.
In his eyes the fans are just spoiled.
Nate Oats on Kentucky basketball fans being restless with this year's team: "They're spoiled. It's probably like #Alabama football fans, to be honest with you. We're not in the College Football Playoff, and everybody's upset and acting like it's a bad year."

Oats and the No. 7 Crimson Tide (12-2, 2-0) will host unranked Kentucky (8-4) on Saturday afternoon. The Wildcats have won two straight, including a 74-71 decision over LSU at Rupp Arena on Tuesday.
Decade since a title at UK is not being spoiled, not being competitive is not being spoiled…. Cal refusing to uphold UK Basketball tradition to the highest standards is not being spoiled, it’s called being fed up! Last 5 years Cal has a losing record against power 5 non conference schools, that being spoiled? Cal is the spoiled one, thx Mitch.
He’s right. They’re both garbage.
Hold your horses my Rocky Flop friend… Keep it classy!! One thing is for sure though.. Nobody, I mean Nobody, beats Rocky Flop 16 years in a row!!
TN has zero final Fours zero! Rocky Flop is a correct word when talking about the ugly orange!
Ky and Bama are the gold standard in basketball and football. Losing like Ky has in the past 5-6 years is unacceptable especially with the number 1 recruiting class almost every year. That’s not being spoiled that’s being honest and real. Cal gets paid way too much for the all the mediocre coaching he has done to the strong tradition that KY has in basketball. Saban is a great coach and I wish KY had him as coach but that would never happen in football. I hope all the SEC does well in March and yes even Rocky Flop. Sec will always be the best in my eyes.
Nothing wrong with pointing out how spoiled Bama fans are these days. The whining and crying this year have made watching the greatest qb to ever play for Bama; one of the most dynamic rb’s in years; a fantastic secondary and edge rusher; and a team that saved their very best for last. You’d think this team failed to win a game!
Sorry that sentence makes no sense. Meant to reference the challenge of enjoying the games due to negativity around the program, but I jacked that up.
