Former LSU cornerback Damarius McGhee is headed to the Big 12.

McGhee will continue his college football career with the Kansas Jayhawks, as he announced via his Instagram story on Sunday.

After playing in 12 games in 2021 with 66 snaps on defense and 67 snaps on special teams, McGhee made only appearance during the 2022 season as a sophomore. McGhee projects as a player with a high ceiling who has the ability to really rise in the Kansas secondary with this change of scenery.

He originally committed to LSU over the likes of Alabama, Georgia, Kentucky, Miami, Oklahoma, Ole Miss and USC among a host of other programs, which is why it’s no surprise he found a transfer destination in limited time. He was one of the top-100 recruits nationally in the 2021 class.

McGhee has 3 seasons of eligibility remaining.
