Vanderbilt’s offense hasn’t been able to get anything going on Saturday at Missouri. The Commodore defense, however, hasn’t given up on spoiling Mizzou’s homecoming in Columbia.

In the third quarter, Vandy defenders CJ Taylor and Anfernee Orji combined for the most impressive defensive score of Week 8. Taylor leaped over a Tiger running back to get to QB Brady Cook, jarring the ball loose with a strip sack. Orji scooped it up, getting VU on the board with a touchdown. It snapped a drought of over 100 minutes of game time after the shutout at Georgia.

Unfortunately for Clark Lea’s squad, the score remains 17-7 in Mizzou’s favor after Vanderbilt just missed a 27-yard field goal, unable to cash in on good field position. The game is in the 3rd quarter and airing on the SEC Network.
