Tyler Scott, elite CB out of Georgia, announces SEC commitment during All-American Bowl
Tyler Scott, a 3-star cornerback out of Mableton, Georgia (Pebblebrook), took some time at the All-American Bowl to announce his plans to play in the SEC.
With a group of finalists that included Auburn, Alabama, Louisville, Tennessee, Michigan, Southern Cal and Tennessee, Scott chose Auburn.
Scott is listed at 6-foot-1 and 195 pounds, and is ranked the No. 43 cornerback in the country, according to the 247Sports Composite, and the No. 47 player in the state of Georgia in the Class of 2023. He had a reported 39 offers and was recruited to Auburn by Zac Etheridge and Wesley McGriff.
Scott’s commitment lifted the Auburn class to No. 19 in the 247Sports Composite Team Rankings.
“Coach Crime, Coach Zac, Coach Ty (Holder), they’re the reason I committed for real,” he said, per 247Sports. “As soon as I met them it felt like home. I felt I was safe with them and they can get me to the next level. Just the way they talked to me for real, they really have love for their players and their recruits and they really take care of their recruits.”

“Tyler Scott, elite CB out of Georgia … Tyler Scott, a 3-star cornerback out of Mableton, Georgia”
When you see “elite” in and SDS header you know it’s a 3-Star …
(Not picking on you AU, good get)
I couldn’t care less about star ratings. See: Stetson Bennett.
Justin Jefferson as well
Mexico……..Listen up Mexico! We ALL care about star ratings LOL!!! That said 3 star means a really good player, or it used to anyway!!! A 4 star usually means they think he’s an NFL prospect. A 5 star means he’s nearly a guarantee of being an NFL talent!!!!
A 3 star means he can be a really good college player which is all you need or a potential NFL talent with work!!! With the right coach 3 stars go to the NFL all the time!!!!
PS. Either way, congrats good get!!!

” A 5 star means he’s nearly a guarantee of being an NFL talent!!!!”
Why do you lie so much?
What percentage of high school football players have offer list that include multiple SEC, big10, Pac12 and ACC teams. Less than 2%, less than 1. That probably counts as elite.
So then just about every commit at every P5 school is “elite” then, by your standard.
I always look at what other schools have offered. His list is pretty impressive.
Most of the NFL consists of players who were not 5 stars.
That is because there are so few 5* players that the odds are against much greater that there will be more 3 and 4 star players.
All I know is Bama has won 10 games 15 straight seasons and 6 Nattys while recruiting 4 and 5 star players, whereas Auburn has been a middle of the pack SEC team while recruiting 3 star players.
TheStandard, Auburn has maintained a top15 bluechip ratio for a while up to last year. You don’t get that recruiting mostly 3 stars.
“All I know”
You’re about as smart as rat dung.
“Bama has won 10 games 15 straight seasons and 6 Nattys while recruiting 4 and 5 star players, whereas Auburn has been a middle of the pack SEC team while recruiting 3 star players.”
Funny how you left out the part where AU won a national title and went to another.
Quit being an idiot.
” recruiting 4 and 5 star players”
And lots of those 4 and 5 stars stunk in the NFL.
Weird thing to say when 11 former Bama players made the Pro-Bowl this season, far more than any other team. Top two rushers in the league are former Bama players. Three starting QBs. Three WRs with 1,000 yard seasons and Jeudy is close to a 4th. Minkah has the most INTs in the league, Eddie Jackson in the top 10. Two defenders in the top 10 in tackles. Two players with 10+ sacks on the season. 8 former Bama players were named Team Captain for their franchise. An all-time record 70 former Bama players were on a NFL roster this season.
I know you’re just a product of really bad opinions, but man are you wrong a lot.
“”I know you’re just a product of really bad opinions, but man are you wrong a lot.”
WTF are you talking about? I made a point about the majority of NFL talent not being 5 stars and you make it about Bama.
Standard………
” All I know is Bama has won 10 games 15 straight seasons and 6 Nattys while recruiting 4 and 5 star players, whereas Auburn has been a middle of the pack SEC team while recruiting 3 star players ”
Standard, it’s no secret I am a Georgia fan, but the truth is. Auburn always CONSISTENTLY plays the toughest schedule in the SEC, or maybe the country….
Arkansas had that season they played the toughest schedule in history, but still. Arkansas still plays a tough schedule. But auburn always plays Georgia and Alabama every year!!!! And Georgia has been elite since 2017 and always darn good before that!!!
In 2017 for example. Auburn played CLEMSON, LSU, GEORGIA AND ALABAMA along with all the others!!!!
PS. That accounts for the middle of the road. Auburn won the SEC WEST that year!!!!!

OR, he just repeated the Kirby Smart “buzz word” for the last 2 years.
You can bet it is Farner that wrote the article. He is a gibbering idiot.
This kid would be a high four star if he hadn’t been a late bloomer.
SatOnThePlains……..He still has time. He could turn into a 5 star. You never know!!!!!!
PS. I’ve seen it done!!!!
Negan
Most of the high schoolers playing in these all star hype games end up at D-1 programs. Look at the list of offers this kid had, I think that puts him in a elite category. Nice get Auburn and thanks to Hugh Freeze. You have started the train towards being a contender in just a few weeks. Working that portal pretty darn well too!
