Shamar Easter, one-time Arkansas commit, clarifies future with Hogs
Shamar Easter is back in the fold at Arkansas.
The 2023 tight end prospect originally committed to the Razorbacks but then backed off that pledge last month after Arkansas tight end coach Dowell Loggains left to take the offensive coordinator position at South Carolina.
On Sunday, however, Easter announced via Twitter that he will be playing his college football in Fayetteville after all.

Easter is a 6-5, 225-pounder from Ashdown, Arkansas, and he is regarded as one of the top tight end prospects in the 2023 recruiting class.
He is rated by the 247Sports Composite as a 4-star recruit, the 9th-best tight end in the country, and the top prospect in Arkansas for 2023.
In addition to Arkansas, Easter also had offers from Auburn, Texas A&M, Tennessee, Ole Miss, and Florida State, among several others.

You guys needed some good news. Last fall it was “well at least BB is coming up”. Now it’s “well, baseball is coming up”. Careful it could be catchy or a curse.
The Hogs basketball team hasn’t looked very good so far, but be very careful leaving an Eric Musselman team for dead. We went through prolonged slumps in SEC play in both 2020 and 2021 and ended up waving the SEC flag in the NCAA Tournament both times.
Normally I wouldn’t count them out. But the reality is harsh. Three double digit losses in a row, including Vandy which is just a fair team at best. After that three string performance, even knowing they’re down a couple players, is telling. Lots of teams are missing a player or two but I thought with all the top recruiting the past couple years that surely there was more than enough to beat Vanderbilt. Even that loss to LSU is looking worse than it did. Yes Arky can always make a run by SEC tournament time, but it just looks pretty doubtful. 60+ points in the second half against Vanderbilt. Whoosh.
