Todd Monken continues to be a name to watch in NFL circles as offensive coordinator jobs come open. The latest example is with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

NFL Network reporters Ian Rapoport and Mike Garafolo reported that Bucs coach Todd Bowles will assemble his own offensive staff, and the Georgia offensive coordinator could be back as Bucs OC. Monken was with the Bucs for 3 seasons (2016-18). Monken has also been the Cleveland Browns’ OC earlier in his career.

In 2019, Monken directed a Browns offense that was led by former Georgia star Nick Chubb, who was second in the NFL with 1,494 yards on 298 carries (5.0 yards/carry) and 8 touchdowns.

In 2018, he helped the Bucs lead the NFL in passing offense and finish third in the league in total offense. The Buccaneers set club records for total yards, passing yards and passing touchdowns. Wide receiver Mike Evans in Monken’s offense earned his first 2 Pro Bowl selections and topped 1,000 receiving yards in all 3 seasons.
