LaNorris Sellers, 4-star QB out of South Carolina, flips from Syracuse to SEC commitment
LaNorris Sellers, a 4-star quarterback who was Syracuse’s top commit, flipped to South Carolina on Friday in a announcement with his family and in front of his teammates and classmates.
Shane Beamer was quick to share a reaction on Twitter, and wrote that “It’s (cold) outside but it just got really (hot) with (Gamecock football). Actually we were already hot … Even hotter now.”
Sellers, a dual threat quarterback, still had a pinned tweet on his Twitter profile from committing to Syracuse on March 6.
Sellers is ranked the No. 26 quarterback in the Class of 2023, and the No. 5 player in the state of South Carolina, according to the 247Sports Composite. Sellers threw 45 touchdowns, just 2 interceptions, and won state championship at South Florence this season, so this is another big in-state addition for the Gamecocks. He’s listed at 6-foot-2 1/2 and 217 pounds.
