Sam Pittman on Monday provided an update on KJ Jefferson. The Arkansas quarterback was unavailable for Saturday’s game against LSU, a 13-10 Tigers win in Fayetteville.

Jefferson has been limited by a shoulder injury over the last few weeks. He was able to play in the Razorbacks’ loss to Liberty, finishing with 284 yards, 2 touchdowns, and 2 interceptions. But he was eventually ruled out against LSU and was relieved by Malik Hornsby.

The Razorbacks now turn their attention to their next game against Ole Miss, having lost 2 in a row headed into the Senior Day matchup. Jefferson’s status will once again be under the microscope in the leadup to Week 12 against the Rebels. And it sounds as if there’s some good news from Pittman’s corner.

“We anticipate him playing on Saturday. Those things certainly change. They have over the last two weeks, but he feels better than he has since the Auburn game,” he said. “We’ll have to see how he is at practice to be perfectly honest with you, but I know he feels better than he has in the last two weeks.”

Kickoff on Nov. 19 is set for 7:30 p.m. ET on the SEC Network.
