Georgia offensive lineman Warren McClendon will honor his former Bulldog teammate at the Senior Bowl in Mobile next month.

The Senior Bowl’s director, Jim Nagy, shared on Twitter Monday that the showcase event has assigned the No. 77 to McClendon for the week, the number worn by former Georgia offensive lineman Devin Willock. Willock and UGA staffer Chandler LeCroy passed away in a single-car accident on Jan. 15. McClendon was a passenger in the car but sustained only minor injuries.

McClendon is one of four Bulldogs who have accepted an invite to the game. He’ll be joined by running back Kenny McIntosh, safety Christopher Smith, and kicker Jack Podlesny.

The 6-foot-4 Brunswick native started 37 times for Georgia over the last three seasons. He took a redshirt in 2019.

The Senior Bowl gets rolling with practice on Tuesday, Jan. 31. The game takes place on Saturday, Feb. 4, at 2:30 p.m. ET on NFL Network.
