Tolan heads to The Plains after a season at LSU. As a freshman, he played in 12 games for Brian Kelly’s squad, recording 10 total tackles, including 3 solo stops. Tolan had a season-high 4 tackles in LSU’s win over Ole Miss.
Tolan was a highly sought-after recruit in the class of 2022. Out of Dr. Phillips in Orlando, Tolan was rated 4-stars, the No. 20 linebacker, No. 24 recruit in Florida and No. 204 prospect overall nationally on the 247Sports Composite. Tolan picked up 39 scholarship offers during his recruitment. He used his 5 official visits on LSU, Auburn, Georgia, Miami and Tennessee.
Tolan has 3 full seasons of eligibility remaining and a redshirt available if ever limited to 4 games or fewer in a season.
Congrats, Auburn, this guy is going to start for your team, because he couldn’t start for our team.
Auburn is going to have a lot of that next year.
We have starters, he will help with depth just like at LSU. SmartA.
We do not have starters!Cam Riley (yes) but we run a 3\4 now, so we need 3 more starters
3-3-5 actually. Riley, Steiner, and Tisdol would be the likely starters. No one is inked in though.
He was in line to start next year at LSU. LSU fans are pissed he’s leaving.
And here I was thinking that “Salt Life” sticker on the back of your Prius was about the beach. Silly me…
If he has a Costa and a Yeti sticker with that it will be the redneck trifecta.
He probably also has the New Iberia haircut, white Oakley shades, and a squatted truck with truck nuts.
Real classy comment bayou, not a very smart one either. Not many freshmen LB start in the SEC. I’m in no way ashamed that your lose is our gain. Great pick up Auburn!
If you hang onto those sour grapes long enough you’ll have some raisins.
Precisely beachbum. Tolan was a true freshman last year and yet he played in 12 games. It must have really upset bayou tiger to warrant him making such a ridiculous comment.
Welcome to Auburn young man.
Hate to see any player transfer out. But I’m sorry LSU wasn’t what he was looking for and I wish him all the best on the plains. I hope he does really well in 11 of 12 games.
Yes, I was upset to see him leave. No, he was not in line to start this year. He would have been first backup in, and as such he would have been a valuable player with a chance to start in 2024.
If that was supposed to sound less salty, you failed. Saltiness is always salty when there’s plenty of salt in the mix.
