Basketball school? Fans, media react to Alabama's massive win over No. 1 Houston
Down goes No. 1!
The Alabama Crimson Tide, for the 2nd time in just 2 weeks, have downed a No. 1 team, this time dispatching Houston 71-65 at the Fertitta center Saturday evening. Alabama previously downed No. 1 North Carolina in quadruple overtime on Nov. 27.
And they did it without a single field goal from perhaps their best player, Brandon Miller. The superstar freshman went 0-8 from the field, scoring 8 points off free throws alone. He also added 5 rebounds to his final stat sheet. Noah Clowney was the star of the day for the Crimson Tide, totaling 16 points and 11 rebounds.
The Crimson Tide are now 8-1 on the season with wins over North Carolina, Houston and Michigan State. Their only loss came against UConn.
Fans and media reacted to Alabama’s huge win over the Cougars Saturday afternoon.

Alabama beating the No. 1 team in the country on the road without Brandon Miller making a single field goal is truly wild.

Alabama just won on the road at Houston and Brandon Miller didn’t make a field goal.
That should scare the rest of the SEC.
